The editors are happy to announce that Word Fountain has appeared on this week’s list of new arrivals in the Magazine Stand at the superb writers’ resource New Pages. And we are thrilled to share with you a lovely and thoughtful review of our current issue by New Pages editor Katy Haas. Read the whole review here. We were first listed last year on New Pages‘ Big List of Literary Magazines, so we’re delighted to have our Spring•Summer 2017 issue reviewed there now.
We’ve also heard from a number of writers that they’ve found us through our listing on Poets & Writers, and from the statistics we’re seeing, many are now reporting their submissions with us via the Duotrope submission tracking service!
It’s been a year and a half since Word Fountain came out of hiatus, and we want to thank you for your support, your kind donations, and for the opportunity to read and publish your work. The current issue is the 13th overall, and we’re eager to bring you #14 this autumn. So in just over a week the new submission window, for the Fall•Winter 2017 issue, opens up! The deadline to get your work to us is August 15th, so please prepare to put our editing crew to work once again. For complete details on how and what to send, just head over to our Submissions page.
From our whole team, and Osterhout Free Library, thank you again for being such a great community of readers and writers!
Gratefully yours,
David J. Bauman, Editor-in-chief
Glad to see you received the praise you deserve. I’d agree that “Miners” is a standout, even though it was like reading a Kafka nightmare.
